The Danish rock band Volbeat has relied on POOLgroup’s technical expertise for years and 2025 marks the fourth year of our collaboration.

With their characteristic fusion of rock’n’roll, heavy metal, and melodic hooks, Volbeat toured 15 European countries in autumn 2025 – 37 shows in just eight weeks.
The goal was to bring the characteristic Volbeat sound to life with the same intensity, clarity, and energy in every arena.
For POOLgroup, this meant technical precision built for the demands of touring, meticulous planning of logistical workflows, and absolute reliability in an ever-changing production landscape.

POOLgroup once again assumed overall technical responsibility for the European tour – with a focus on audio, network, comms, and system integration.

Key focus areas:

• Providing and operating the complete PA system, based on Meyer Sound PANTHER and 2100/LFC loudspeakers – the backbone of Volbeat’s sound on tour.
• Building a fully connected fiber & network infrastructure (AVB/MILAN), that brought all services – lighting, video, audio, and data communications – together into a single digital system.
• Deploying a comms system using the Riedel ARTIST platform, combined with SmartPanels and Bolero beltpacks for end-to-end communication for all trades and services.
• Using the latest Luminex switches for stabilizing signal distribution and redundancy protection.
• During the tour, the experienced POOLcrew provided on-site technical support for all 37 shows – from the daily system test to the final sound check.

The entire structure was designed with efficiency, consistency, and precision in mind: short build times, clear processes, and maximum reliability.
