The Munich Security Conference (MSC) is recognized as the world’s most important forum for international security policy. In 2025 and 2026 were held at Munich’s Bayerische Hof hotel with visiting heads of state, government leaders and ministers, and experts from across the globe. The client was the Stiftung Münchner Sicherheitskonferenz gGmbH, the foundation that organizes the conference.

MSC is an independent, international platform covering security policy issues. Its aim is to address global challenges – from democratic resilience and climate security to the transatlantic partnership – and to generate political momentum. Global media interest meant that technology had to perform flawlessly, be fully secure, and offer consistent reliability.

The working conditions were exceptional: a security zone with stringent requirements, no storage capacity at the Bayerischer Hof hotel, tight schedules, and a zero-error tolerance. At the same time, streams had to be hosted and routed worldwide while additional events at external locations had to be organized at short notice.

The POOLcrew were responsible for complete technical implementation: Light, audio, rigging, video and camera technology, video direction, media technology and media servers, streaming solutions, interpreting technology and logistics.

A particular challenge was establishing a high-security zone that was flexible enough to accommodate changes at short notice. This meant liaising directly with numerous delegations and international partners to resolve the technical details quickly and accurately within a narrow timeframe.

From the point of view of the delegates, technology was the unsung hero. Everything performed flawlessly – from audio and live visuals to uninterrupted streaming. In an environment designed to spotlight high-profile speakers, reliable technical processes were paramount.

The Conferences ran smoothly and was recognized by delegations and partners as a robust and professionally managed event.  Once again, the project demonstrated the POOLgroup’s ability to seamlessly combine technology, logistics, and secure production in a complex environment within an internationally prominent setting.
