Management Team Meeting (TMTM)

Deutsche Telekom is one of the largest telecommunications companies in Europe. Around 200,000 employees worldwide work for the Group, which serves more than 260 million cell phone customers – from individual consumers to large companies.

Once a year, more than 800 executives from every business unit and region meet in Bonn for the Telekom Management Team Meeting (TMTM). This internal, high-level meeting represents a core opportunity to discuss strategic development, issues relating to the business, and the company’s future direction.

Aim

The aim is for delegates to consider the TMTM as a standout moment of the year, rich in content and atmosphere – a place for orientation, exchange, and new ideas.

Staging & services

For the TMTM, POOLgroup transformed the World Conference Center Bonn into a fully branded environment with a strong visual and physical impact. A key design feature were the translucent, cube‑shaped water tanks that appeared as glowing pixel installations on the ceiling, in the auditorium, and on the stage. Assembly required careful structural preparation as well as finely tuned planning, taking suspension points, floor load capacities, and safety parameters into account.

POOLgroup managed all aspects of the project:
We developed the complete technical concept, planned lighting, audio, video, rigging, and media technology, and integrated various trades into a coherent production framework. At the same time, the POOLcrew took over event management, directing the production and running order on site – from the first rehearsal to the closing broadcast. Stage and set were constructed to perfectly match Deutsche Telekom’s branding, while logistics and material handling were scheduled to meet tight production windows.
This resulted in a highly synchronized, integrated project that skillfully brought together spatial design, brand impact, and technical complexity.

Experience

The TMTM created an environment that fostered intensive exchanges of ideas and sparked brand‑defining momentum.
Theatrical lighting, straightforward system architecture, and a rigorously staged space created an environment uniting content, design, and technical precision – inspiring managers and providing clarity.

The Telekom Management Team Meeting demonstrates how corporate culture, strategic dialog, and technical event design can be combined to create a coherent experience.
